Nigeria has always had a strong demand for trucks. However, due to various reasons, local distributors have lost trust in imported vehicles, making it difficult for Chinese trucks to enter the Nigerian market. Consequently, local buyers are facing a severe shortage of trucks. On December 20, 2025, we were honored to receive a Nigerian truck distributor, who came to Lupeng Heavy Industry together with his clients.
According to the distributor, the client runs mining sites and has long been searching for reliable manufacturers to purchase dump trucks and mining construction machinery. However, the search has been far from easy. He once encountered unscrupulous middlemen who drove up prices, while the trucks and equipment he received turned out to be of poor quality. As a result, the client suffered heavy financial losses and wasted a great deal of time and energy.This may explain why Chinese truck manufacturers have struggled to gain a firm foothold in the Nigerian market. We truly sympathized with the client after hearing his experience.
They came to Lupeng Heavy Industry with hesitation, taking this as their last attempt. We felt honored by their visit, and also glad that they finally found us. Our superior truck quality will surely impress them greatly. After learning about their situation, we immediately showed them around our parts warehouse, production workshops and finished truck exhibition area.
The clients mainly viewed our Howo dump trucks, which feature competitive pricing and outstanding durability. We also demonstrated our refurbishment procedures to them. They showed great interest in these cost-effective products. Our factory director patiently explained every processing step in detail, ensuring the clients could see and inspect everything firsthand and purchase products with complete peace of mind.
After an afternoon of factory tours and product inspections, the clients wore satisfied smiles in the end. They finally placed a trial order for 3 units of Howo 6×4 dump trucks, together with accessories including 10 rear axles, 20 sets of suspension assemblies and 40 steel wire tires.
Later, we had dinner together. During the meal, the client once again expressed genuine delight at having found our company. We shook hands warmly, looking forward to long-term cooperation ahead.
